I just finished 30 miles fishing backcountry lakes in Glacier NP and dehydrated all of my food for the trip. The best was dehydrating tomato paste into fruit leather, cooked/dehydrated elk burger, and dehydrated onion/garlic. Cooked in water + angel hair pasta (cooks fast) made some seriously great spaghetti, just like home. Try soy sauce in the dehydrator until it gets the consistency of a warm tootsie roll. Burger is great rehydrated, but avoid chunks of meat.
