Things would be a lot better if there were less buck tags issued (2 instead of 7), and they allowed harvest of does during 6 day firearm. Then we wouldn' t have to worry about all the unlimited antlerless and seasons until February if guys were killing does during the 6 day December season. Plus, the herd would benifit from less pressre in the winter months. NJ is great when it comes to offering recreational opportunity, with almost 6 months of deer season. But horrible at game managment. There are ways to make everyone happy and maintain overall herd health, but they just haven' t discovered or instilled them yet. It will happen eventually..... I hope!
