thinking of swaping bows around, advise please...
I currently have a fred bear "truth" bow that is about a year old. I didn't mean to buy it, the pro shop owener said I dry fired it so I have to bought it. so I did, no hassle. I went hunting w/ it this last fall for turkey and white tails. it was a bad dry year for me so not to many shoot opportunity present its self [:@] ohh well.
Ever since I brought that bow home I have not liked it. its got green/ orange cat whisker puff balls on it and the string is green/bright orange. the grip is good, built like a bow grip should be thin and fit in the corner of me hand. but the recoil/ shot noise/ vibration is unbearable. I went and put on it the most espencive (and best) limbsaver stabilizer they make. it made it quite barable but now when it get loose and i don't notice it not work so well leaveing me with an arm that fell like I swung metal bat at metal poll as hard as possible, OOUUCHhhhh!!!!!
its bright collors make it useless on turkeys they spot it miles away, and the stabilizer issue make me wana change around. If I were rich I might go get one of those new matthews Drenalin bows throw my acc. on it and be happy. but I can no spend 700-800 bux now.
So I think I might offer my dad my Winchester M70 in .300 WSM W/ Nikon 3-9x40 BDC scope on it. it should compare at $300 rifle+$300 scope= his practically untouched Switchback XT. what you all think?? is it a good traid??
P.S. Any one want a fred bear the truth (first year they came out)??
