I only use scents for about 2 weeks. I use Pete Rickards Indian Buck Lure. The only reason I use it is to stop a buck for a shot. I use it as a distraction rather than an attraction.

Greg, can you explain this further? do you hang a wick? do you run a scent line straight away from your stand in a shooting lane?
I usually use film canisters, placed on trails in my shooting lanes in such a way it causes the deer to stop and look away so I can get the draw on him. I've done the scent line thing just as you have mentioned also, just not as often.
