You can always tell a true machinist, he uses socket head capscrews on everything.You do nice work, are you a toolmaker by trade or just a hobbiest? What do you think of my idea? The bracket would look just like a STS mounting block except both holes would be 3/8" and a couple of set screws to hold the rods in place. The rod with the stopper on it would only have to be long enough to seat fully in the stopper with enough sticking out to fit in the mounting bracket.
