For the most part,I AGREE with Quick,we are just rehashing the speed days of old.We are using the same tricks to do it.Short brace and agressive cams.HOWEVER,the cams are not quite as agressive to the shooter,much better draw curvesand are more tunable and shooter friendly than their previous counterparts.Thank goodnesss hatchet cams are a thing of the past.
I posted about the Hoyt Katera and I was amazed at the draw curve on it with a 330 ibo,of course it has a 6" brace.
Heck,Elite has an 8" brace bow shooting 320.That couldn't be done 15-20 years ago,atleast not to where someone could pull it and shoot it.It would probably rattle their teeth out if they managed to get it back.
He did touch on the advancements of the materials so from their I will agree,to a point.
Overall,the products are better but it is the same old bag of tricks to yield basically the same results.
