I' ve got a savage model 16FSS in 7mm-08 and it is my favorite deer rifle.I used a savage 99 in 308 for years but when I bought the weather warrior in 7mm-08 I retired the 99.It is light to carry,very accurate,impervious to foul and wet weather,and the cartridge seems like the perfect caliber for deer hunting.Low recoil,great performance,cheap practice ammo from wally world($12@box win.pp' s) and excellant game performance with federal 140gr nosler paritions.Three bucks in three years with one shot each and none took another step,I love my 7mm-08 savage Would recommend the rifle and caliber to anyone looking for a good hunting set-up.
