During Rita, I had two generators, 150 gallons of gas that we brought back from Arkansas after we evacuated. Every night for 3 weeks, you could hear the sound of generators as far as the ear could here. We had just watched what happened in New Orleans, and along with the gas I bought 10 boxes of buckshot for the double barrel. I was ready for anything. Even with the light of the generators, it was extremely dark at night up here in Hardin county. I'm sure everyone was armed like I was. I did not hear one gunshot, nor did I hear of anything stolen.
I hope we never have to go through that again.
