As I am sure you know.. all a 1X scope really is, would be a fancy aiming device. I find them more accurate, but I did consider an front sight with a + in a tube, and then a rear peep so that you would basically line them up. I think Lyman makes one. You use the 57 SMT target rear peep and then the hooded front sight with the inserts.
