Are you SURE it is a T/C Hawken????

I'd bet my custom flintlock that they are rated for more than 70grs of Goex...

Like Cay said, a round ball will kill very well...I started with a .45 flintlock back in the mid 70s, made a .54 in the late 80s and have probably taken 50 deer with the two combined, out to 125 yards...

I shot 75grs on the .45 and 80grs in the .54...Anywhere from 75-100grs is plenty for deer with a ball...
