Default RE: ata & brace height

Your height doesn't necessarily come into play. Your DL at 29" really can put you into any bow your looking to shoot. It's common knowledge in the target shooting industry that a longer ATA bow tends to be more forgiving as well as a longer brace height but many of todays bows are both proving accurate and forgiving with shorter brace heights and ATA lengths.

I'm currently shooting several of the new Bowtech line as well as Diamond and I have to comment that I'm holding steadier with my 82nd Airborne at 36.5" ATA 6 1/8" brace than I am the General at 31 3/16" ATA, 8 1/4" brace . Both shoot wonderfully. I also have the Marquis and it's usually spot on with holding, 34 1/2 ATA, 7" brace. I haven't put alot of arrows through the Guardian.

I'm a 28.5" DL and have a tendancy to love the 36" bow line. Shorter gets too short for me although I love my Allegiance at 34" ATA, (new being 33 1/4").

I'd recommend staying at 34" or longer. Plenty short for treestand and ground blind shooting.
