I started fletching my own arrows a few years ago---better than taking your arrows into a pro-shop and paying for it. Also, it lets you experiment with different fletch types to see what flies best, etc. It is fun. I scrape off the arrow with a sharp razorblade, and make sure with the carbon arrows that I am not cutting into the arrow.
