Default RE: Limbsaver Recoil Pad

Did it change the length of pull at all on you 835? I've come to the conclusion that the LOP on my 835 is a little long for me and would like to reduce it a smidge and thought this might be a simple way. The existing pad is pretty thick>
Limbsaver makes a grind-to-fit pad. So if your LOP is too long you could have a gunsmith cut the stock down a little bit to fit you and then install and fit the Limbsaver. to the shortened stock. Excessive LOP is a common problem with American-made stocks. I'm a tall guy (6'4"), and I've had stocks that are too long for me.

As far as the effectiveness of the Limbsaver...it's the only recoil pad that I'll put on my rifles if they need it. I just recently put one on my Savage 111 30-06 and it's like night and day. Before I installed the Limbsaver the cumulative effect of recoil after a box of ammo would leave me sore. The Limbsaver made felt recoil feel about half of the stock buttplate.
