Default RE: crimping?

My experience with reloading has told me that OAL is more important than powder charge in accuracy.

If you are loading different bullets to the same length they will be different distances from your lans, which means it changes your pressure considerably. This will affect your accuracy tremendously.

What do your groups look like? I know they are 2" but what do that look like? Are they "stringing" or do they look uniform? Do you have 2 that are close and one flier? If the shots are stringing, that tells me that you have too much pressure. Try shortening your OAL to reduce pressure. If you have 2 close and one flier, that tells me that you should try to build a little more pressuregoing a little longer OAL. Be careful tho, you don't want to go so long that you touch the lans.

Find a powder charge that will produce a uniform group and then change the length up and see how that affects your group. Then, if you find a length that you feel is the best that recipe will do and it's still not to your satisfaction, then change powder types and shoot at that same lenth to see what happens.
