Default RE: Should crossbow kills be recognized for p&y record book?

ORIGINAL: DropTine249

Crossbows, on average, shoot faster, further and are easier to get consistent groups with.
You're kidding, right...?

Most crossbows shoot a bolt somewhere around 300fps.

Most crossbows have an effective range comparable to a modern compound.

At work, in our ten yard lane, our crossbows [generally] shoot a group slightly larger than that of any of our compounds.

Because crossbows are illegal in most states, I feel that kills made by them should not be recognized by P&Y. I'm not a traditionalist by any means, but until crossbows become legal [for anyone] to use, I feel that kills made by them should be left out of the books.

Perhaps those who use them can be allowed in, but with an asterisk next to their entry.
