I just re-read my post and I wanted to let Buck Magnet know I was in no way trying to imply that he should have waited for a bigger buck.

Buck, you have been on this board for a long time so I know you remember the buck I killed two years ago. It too had a weird growing antler, it had one beam rotated all the way into his nose. I wanted to try for a bigger buck but felt I had to kill that one. I figured he would suffer from his antler. I had a choice to make then too, let it walk and look for a bigger one for my team or take it out and that's what I did.

As it turned out the antler was pushing into the skin and a red puss filled infection had started just under the hair. I suspect it would have indeed been bothersome to say the least.

While we both made our decisions for different reasons I have no problem with yours and you have helped this team out...probably more than I will end up doing.
