Why in gods name would it take you 6 hours before gutting a deer? If you plan on waiting 6 hours before tracking theres something wrong or youre not confident enough in your shots. I can recover most of my deerwithin 30 minutes - 1.5 hoursof the shot, I find them, gut them, drag them to a access road, get the truck or gator what everi have there and throw it in the back, take it to town, get it registered, get it hung.
