RE: Bow Report......BowTech "Pro 38" Dual Cam
Sharpstick......been over 2 months since I wrote that report, and I've needed 1.....that's 1 twist in a cable since then.(I didn't even think I needed that, but the bowshop guru said it did so.......<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
I check everything to see how it's doing everytime I go to the shop.(That's once a week).....it just doesn't move, and yes I'd attribute that entirely to the WC string and cables.
Everything is still in time and shooting very very well.
I've had to tune this bow roughly 1,000,000 times less than my Mathews Ultra Max.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
I haven't had any Brace height concerns at all......6.8" is pretty comfy for me, and I'm not worried about interference at all.
Like I said.....your old 2Cam bow this one isn't.
It's in my opinion far superior to BowTech's 2001 BKII with the same cams.......just as fast, higher brace height and a HECK of a lot less recoil and noise.
One thing to consider.....they aren't offering this one for 2002, so you will have to find one either left over or used, and they are hard to come by.
You might be in luck if you are serious tho......a friend (and fellow board member)is selling the exact bow as mine on E-Bay right now as he has serious back problems and can't shoot a 70#'r anymore.
I know it's killing him to sell it.
Or you can check out BowTech's Black Knight II for 2002......essentially this is the Pro38Dual Cam from last year but with some nice refinements......Nicer riser, smoother cams, a little more limb angle, but it's gonna cost considerably MORE than a 2001 Pro38 Dual Cam will.
Either way, if you want a 2 cam bow.......these are darn tough to beat.
