In our area the cops don't usually spend much time trying to catch the growers of a pot patch. They might not come to it but once every two or more weeks. They usually just cut and remove it, and even if they accidently catch someone with a few plants they aren't going to spend much, if any, time in jail. I havn't seen a good patch in a few years, too much work for them.
