I just got in from cutting firewood and doing a little scouting. Great time I saw two spotted fawns. And we have acorns every where .The high winds from last night and this morning had it sounding like rain falling.
It could be a great year..
gotta loooooooooooooove acorns Jim! Thats where I go around Oct 1. Oak groves have been goldmines for me the last 5 years. I hunt bean field edges the first 2 weeks just because I have deer feeding aptterned there. But after oct 1 when the buck groups are all broken up and the acorns are droping like candy, thats where I head.
