THatbuck is almost identical to the one that I couldn't get a shot at right at dark last year on oening day in SC. I had sat in tehheat for 3 hours, and a little before dark, the wind shifted, so I turned my climber to watch the another area that they could come from that was consistent with te wind. Sure enough, 10 minutes later he comes in where I had been expecting and when I tried to turn, he caught just enough movement to make him nervous. I could see him, but when he stepped back into the swamp, it was darker, and all I had was a silhouette, so I decided to pass.My buddy shot it with a rifle the last day of the season. It scored just a litle bit higher, and for SC was a good one. If we all could score consistently even a bit smaller, we would do well. And don't feel the need to be apologetic about any deer that you take. That is a nice bowkill anywhere. I can see from the look on your face that you were proud and that is all that matters--if it was legal of course!!
