Default I went to Cabela's and bought my first guns yesterday.

I finally got my firearm purchaser card earlier this year. I've been looking around the few places I know of in New Jersey for a Remington 870 Express with a synthetic stock and a field barrel (since I already have a slug barrel and scope I used on my friend's 870 last season), but no places had any. Yesterday I spontaneously went to Cabela's though and found one used. It has a 28" barrel with a removeable choke... the choke it came with was an extra-full turkey choke so I think I'll have to get some other chokes for it!

I also looked around at .22s there, and not seeing anything used that was very interesting I bought a Savage Mark II with a synthetic stock and stainless barrel. I was shooting that earlier today and I like it... I actually like the way the accu-trigger feels and the way the gun in general handles. It's fairly accurate too... I was just shooting offhand and shooting an inch at 30-40 yards!

I also picked up a locking two-gun case, some trigger locks, and some Federal .22 ammunition. I'm satisfied!
