Default RE: 257 weatherby?

I'll try and locate some data for you. Layne Simpson from Shooting Times did an artical a while back.He prefered RE-22 /Fed mag primers and Nosler Partitions in the .257 Weatherby. At 3400-3500 fps for a 100grainer assuming you have a 26" pipe. Don't use lightly constructed bullets. It's a roughly 200fps upgrade from the 25-06 and there's nothing wrong with it either.Gives a whole new meaning to reach out and touch somebody.A neighbour lady shoots moose with her's on a regular basis rarely requiring a second shot 120gr partition.Get a decent scope and a bipod or make some shooting sticks.I use old ski poles with a bolt and rubber washer 6 " below the handles. The Finns used to loop the hand straps over each pole sniping Russians in their 105 day war.............Harold
