Default RE: Fishing stories for the week of June 16th

I tried a jig MT..but the hydrilla kept hanging my lure up. Saddle Creek is just one giant mat of Hydrilla. I used the skinny part of a fire and ice for the skirt..It looked pretty good.
your missing a golden opertunity there buddy, get a heavy jig 3/4-1 oz or a big craw worm with a 1/2oz worm weight get right on the edge of the topped out grass and drop that bait in any hole or bust a new hole in it, the fish will be up under the canopy of the cover made up of hydrilla and milfoil, the whole idea is to get the bait down thru the vegitation, thats where the fish (big fish) are waiting on something to come by, i do this on guntersville all summer, and have done it when i lived in texas on rayburn and toledo bend, on a side note it takes a lot of paitence to do this but when you luck up on a wad of fish it will be worth it

i'll try to find you some more info on this, it is a very tough but rewarding way to catch some good fish, tough in that you can fish a lot of water before you find that one little strecth thats holding the fish
