RE: calling all simmons haters
When I was young and dumb I bought a few of the cheaper Simmons scopes ($60 or so), and every one of them has busted crosshairs in them and they are sitting in my closet. One was on a Ruger Mini14 and the others were on my 10/22s. JUNK
For a comparison I have had quite a few cheaper Tascos as well and none of them have failed me once. In fact I still have one on my Remington 700 in 243 and it is a one hole shooter. That scope has been on that rifle for a good 13 years now.
I also have a buddy that is too cheap to buy a new scope for his deer rifle and its a Savage package with the 3-9x32 on it. That scope moves about 1" for every click at 100 yards, it looks like your looking through an empty beer bottle, and if its cold out just expect it to ice over.
