I have a couple that only weigh about 7 pounds but they're NOT comfortable. I have a Remington and a API Baby Grand which are heavier.... but VERY comfortable. Both of those were around $100. I guess it depends on your backside and the amount of weight that's pushing down on it. I just can't sit for long periods of on these slings seats, bars etc. Both the REmington and the API have large padded seats. I normally stand at least half the time. If you're not concerned about a couple extra pounds and the stand is going to be used as a semi permanent thing I'd look at something like these. The Remington is HEAVY.... API not so.
