I don't do any guiding and all of my hunts here in Idaho are DIY on public land. I spend a majority of my off time in the mountains putting the pieces of the puzzle together. I have had the honor of drawing from a large pool of knowledge along the way and have used most and customozed the information to fit my situations.
There was a TON of preparation for this bear hunt, which I started doing 2 months in advance. Its like anything that I have done in the past. You get out of it only what you put into it.
