Well, that is open to debate. During my misspent youth I was convicted of felony assault. It was 25 yrs ago but none the less I am a convicted felon. I legally own and hunt with a black powder double barrel shotgun. I also own and hunt with a BP .50 cal. rifle. I have contacted the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms. As long as the gun is a percussion or flintlock sidelock it is legal.
