When you think it only takes one is what causes one to take long shots and potential wound a nice bird.....though you are all right.
The rule I use to develop my lethal range is 8 to 12 pellet holes in the neck bone or skull only. I do not counta any pellet holes other than that.
Once I have that number duplicated a few times on targets - then I know my lethal range.
Turkey hunting at its finest is to call the bird up close and personal - that is what I do and some times the turkey does win!
