i think no matter almost where you hunt there is at least one mature buck in the heard. he gets mature by staying away from dangers. sounds elementary, but answers the ?to the best of my knowledge.

Actually David, Both! But more the first than the later,some of our property butts up to public land so there is quite a bit of pressure around us, especially when the
rifle season rolls around.
