Getting a new gun dialed in is pretty exciting, springspur! Hope that Beretta turns out to be a killer for you!

I had planned to put either another Burris FF3, or a Vortex Venom on my new turkey setup, but, amazingly, the stock rifle sights (hi-viz) ended up having perfect POA/POI with my turkey choke and load. What are the chances?!? Gonna give it a roll this season and see if I miss the FF3 type sight enough to warrant dropping the money to get another one for this gun. I really liked it on my Maxus.

Just picked up an extra leftover Illinois 1st season Pike County tag I may be able to use on a public parcel I know. Want to get back there and check out regrowth following the bordering private land owner clear cutting about 20 acres of timber there.

That is luck, the Beretta came with truglo sights which patterned about 18 inches low at 25, and it also came with a truglo choke that threw a modified pattern. Think I've got both the turkey guns dead nuts on. The 870 patterns slightly better but weighs about 3 pounds more. It's going to be close this year, arrowmaster and jw both go on a turkey jihad every year and will bring in big birds.

The birds are already starting here. Been seeing several out strutting and following hens around. A buddy showed me a trailcam pic of his back in January where 4 were strutting with about 20 hens all around em lol. The itch is getting stronger for sure

BD, Looks mighty comfortable & effective. Never tried a scope but I like the short profile of yours. I'm pretty old school. Same Remington 1100 for 20 years. May try my bow again this year.
