Way to go Arrowmaster....knew it was just a matter of time before it came together.

Congrats Arrowmaster. That is why they call it turkey hunting instead of turkey killing.
Seems like some seasons are easy, birds just walk right in and other seasons it feels like it will never happen.

Bornagain... I was just having that convo with a friend last night... seems like its feast or famine w/ seasons... some you can do nothing wrong... and others nothing right!
Going tomorrow w/ my girls... my 12 year old will hopefully fill my last tag of the season... or my wife's if she ends up coming out too. I hope to make it a family event.
My buddy says there has been a big tom the past 2 evenings and AMs out in front of our blind. He said it is taking him all of his willpower to not go kill him! lol But he'd rather see Lena crack it. She shot her first bird at his place when she was only 7!

Good luck getting the girls on a bird MaHunter. You've had a good season.

bornagain64 05-12-2017 04:20 PM

Good luck MA hunter. Enjoy the morning hunt and post some pics after. Hoping you get on some birds and she gets one.

Western MA Hunter 05-13-2017 03:41 AM

She got one!!!! Big ol tom. 20+ lb. came in silent w a few hens. I heard him drumming for 20 min before we Finally saw him. He came in strutting. Popped his head up and she leveled him at about 25 yards w her 20 gauge. So proud.
He never gobbled once.
