Thanks...
It has been a complete wash out the past couple of days. They are calling for heavy rain most of the week. I'm hoping there is a break sometime this week over the next few days before the weekend to get out again... we'll see.
Still 2 more weeks after this one.

I hear ya, ever since I shot my turkey last week the weather here in Ohio hasn't been the greatest for hunting. Calling for 40-50 mph wind gust today!

been raining quite a bit... wasn't this am, but I had to get to work early.
It is supposed to rain the next week thurs - thurs... ugh...
I am going to try to get out tomorrow and Friday AM myself, and Sat w/ my girls, weather permitting.
I have not been seeing many birds around at all.

went with my buddy this AM.. had birds going everywhere across the road. Nothing where we had planned on setting up.
Tried working them but wound up having them henned up in middle of field. we left and heard a gobble near where our trucks were parked. Buddy had to go. I slipped up ridge above where they were gobbling.
Made a few calls and they came in quick. Probably took 5min for the entire setup.
2 big toms. If we were both there it would have been a nice double in the woods. This guy popped up about 12 yards from me over a little crest in the hill full strut drumming... he dropped his fan and I put
him to bed.
Big bird. 22.5 lb. 1" spurs. 10" beard.

Very nice Ma Hunter....sounds like an exciting hunt. Did this one score higher than your first bird?

Yes.. the first bird was 56 and change. this one 62 and change.
I still have a couple of tags left. I'll keep hunting to try to help us w/ both categories.
2 weeks left in MA and more than that in NY.
