Well finally getting my 2nd bird posted here. It was my third season Iowa bird. Had an amazing hunt. Watched 4 toms in the field for about and hour until they slipped out of view. We had one of them work back into the decoys and we couldve easily killed him but the other 3 were just out of sight and sounding like they were coming back, so we showed patience and waited. Soon enough we had 4 toms in the decoys at 10 yards. My buddy and I picked out the 2 dominant birds and each killed one. Such an exciting hunt.
Here are his specs
19.5 lbs, Spurs: 1” and 1 1/16”, 10” beard, 60.125 total score

Congrats to Phil, bibleman, and Kenny. And good luck to anybody who is still out there hunting. I have until the 22nd to fill my last Iowa tag and that is it for me this year.

Congratulations Guys!! Way to go! My jake was no monster as it weighed 14 lbs at the tagging station it had both spurs at 3/8" and a 4 1/4" beard I will post the pics of mine and camokenny's bird in a little while as I have to go visit my mom.. I have only been home from camp a short time as of now and will get everyone caught up once I get back from my mother's.. Sorry guys I have only a jake to report right now.. I have until June 4th to get my next bird and will keep trying for a bigger bird now.. I wanted to make sure I had a bird to put up and now hoping to improve. None of the birds are gobbling right now here..

Congratulations to every one that got a Thunder Bird.
My season ended yesterday, I will be eating tag soup.
It hasn't been a good year for me.

Tomorrow morning I go see the doc that put me out of work.. I am not sure if he will let me back to work or if he will have me stay out for another month? If he puts me back to work my turkey hunting will be getting limited. But I will still have a few days here and there to hunt I believe... Good luck everyone..

I am sorry to hear about your luck jrbsr hopefully you got out and enjoyed a few days out there.. that is mainly what it is all about.. Scoring is a bonus which surely would of helped the team along. But, again the main thing is to be able to get out there and enjoy your self..

Well folks my season is over. This is the first time in several years I have crapped out hunting. By far one of the worst seasons for me. Between work, family and I've been sick, didn't get to hunt as much as I like. Sorry guys
Congrats to all that have scored.
