We are in Shamrock, Texas on a youth turkey hunt. We have birds roosted and we will be hunting in the morning!

Thanks Arrowmaster. We had a great public land hunt this morning. We both killed birds from the same exact spot, about an hour apart. The crazy thing was they both dropped in the exact same spot. Bornagain64 is done for the season but I have a couple more chances coming up.

Got it done again this morning! I killed a nice Rio in Texas. I will have stats and a picture up later. Let's keep this up!

Here is my rio from Texas. He gobbled like crazy and put on a show for us. One of my dad's friends rode out with us. He said this bird gobbled 22 times on the limb and 40 times on the ground. He was on the ground less than 10 minutes before I shot him. He was in view the whole time. 20 1/2 lbs, 8 3/4" beard, 5/8" spurs.

Beautiful bird. I'll post your stats and score over on the harvest page.
