I went to the DR. Friday and he says everything is healing nicely and in about 2 weeks the stitches come out.

Last hour, last day. Bizarre chance encounter on State game land with a scrapper of a gobbler. Just missed reaching the 14lb mark with 7/8' spurs and what was left of an 8' beard. Gobbler had been body shot prior and had numerous spur wounds. Not sure why this tough little guy was still around.

Sorry about the big goose egg this year! If only my season wasn't cut short (pun intended) maybe I could have gotten at least one on the ground but it is what it is.
