I went out on my first turkey hunt ever this morning, I saw a jake and a hen. Had turkeys gobbling every where before sun up. Going back out tomorrow.

Go get em !

If your not already.....You might try getting in their roost area after 3 pm, you should find a gobbler in the area between 3-6:30 calling for hens.

Well, today was my first day out. Our season started yesterday, but I had to work. Morning was a blast. Had my first tom working and all fired up but wouldn't come across the food plot. found out later,, it had standing water in it. Figured that was why. Anyways, I kept after it and tagged this guy around 11:30. He was all fired up with my new aluminum over slate call with acrylic striker. He entered the the clover field with a hen, but after a few purrs, he was committed and on his way. Nice Eastern. 21lbs. 13 in beard. 1 in spurs. Are we suppose to enter this info anywhere else, or does the team captain enter it?
