Never heard a gobble! I finally just sat down by a field and was going to wait it out a while since they didn't gobble. I yelped.....nothing. Then he flew down about 45yd in front of me! Don't have a clue where he came from. Had to get gun out of my lap and doing so made a bad shot. Ended up running him down in some 5yr old pines and saw briars. It got ugly! Hahaha
Took someone out on another property this morning and heard 4 or 5, but they were way off line and only gobbled a few times. Called up hens in two spots and neither group had a Longbeard with them.
