Gobbles are farther off than I hoped. Seems they didn't roost were I last saw them.

Heavy fog has set in. Heard more than one gobbler. None in the block of woods I'm next to.

Before the fog.

Starting to lift now. Not hearing any gobbles now.

Keep after them talondale. Sooner or later you'll get those birds figured out. Good luck!

Pretty pic Talondale. When I'm not hearing anything I will walk and sit for about 15min.i will sit to take a break and it's easier to hear those way off gobbled while you are sitting still. Good luck!!

Saw a gobbler strutting in a field this morning. Can't wait to head to Kansas Sunday afternoon!

Thanks guys.. But no luck.. I went in where the birds were gobbling up a storm this morning to discover they were already off the roost.. That surprised me as I was in early but a clear sky and a bright moon must have got them down earlier than I suspected. I had a quite a bit of gobbling when I first got there but the hens took them the other way on me.. I will be back in the morning to try it again.. Good luck to everyone that is still oput there hunting ..
