how does that work if you shoot a buck with one side of his rack knocked off? Do you score one side then double it or do you just get just the points for the one side? I let a 130-140" go yesterday because one side was broke off, hope i did the right thing.

Sounds like they're butting heads there already, jag. Passing that one up was a mistake only if you wish you had the meat. But you can only score what's there, I suppose - not what you hope is on the other side.

I shoot a doe when i want steak and chops and what not. The bucks get turned into sausage and sticks and other thinks like that. They are chasing, rutting hard here in WI.

Lightout that's a dandy buck congrats. Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Been busy with work and the little ones. I did make it out a few times but I've only been seeing little bucks. Then our rifle opener was this past weekend. Took my wife out on sun morn and she was treated with a show. We saw two different groups of bucks chasing doe's around. There was one dandy but he was going about a 100 mph. Not a good shot for a first time hunter. She did kill her first deer around 9 am. A monster doe that weighed 155 lbs. I'll post a pic later today.

Deernutz, congrats to your wife on her deer; that's a good size. Maybe snow on the mountains here overnight and I figure to head out at the crack of dawn to see what's cooking.

Well guys, I haven't been on because I had hunting to do. Connected last night on a nice buck.I will score him in the next few days. I'm guessing 125 or so. After a doe this morning.

My buck looks pretty small, now. Oh well, its still 107 2/8 points for the team and some tasty meat for the freezer.
