Hunt started out dead this morning, no gobbling on the roost, got real funny when 4 jakes ran in silent on me as I stood up to leave, turned around to pick something up, turned back around, and there they stood, @ 15 yards, then set up on a gobbler that had me pinned down (60-80 yards in wide open woods) for 30 minutes trailing a hen that stood out in front 15-20 yards. I ended his taunt, after she walked past me, and cut short his schedule this morning. Light bird at 17lbs, but he sported 1-1/8" spurs, 8-1/2" beard. Nice to walk out the door and hunt right from the house.

Way to go guys I have only been out three times so far but the season is slow which is good as work is fast and I cant hunt much so I would be really upset otherwise. Plan on crushing it the last two weeks so I hope to contribute.
