Ya well as you can imagine I had to tip toe around a lot of the traditional local food while on my visit to Sichuan, including the chicken feet. Tried them once and decided to stick to american food. Avoided the pig's knuckles and my all time least favorite.......fish head soup. Went to this one restaurant called "Fish Head & Frog Hot Pot". And literally, those were the only two things on the menu. I opted for frog, but they came in the spicey oily soup whole, tons of tiny bones to sift through. My favorite was a very popular street vendor food, squid-on-a-stick. Loved those.

Donnie we might have to meet up and make a NE run. I have a buddy that has tons of land to hunt in Newport. That is right on the SD line, we have killed some real pretty merriams there. I have made 3 trips there and we have killed 15 turkeys. It is crazy good.

Guys, we're no longer in the lead in best bird per hunter. Our score is 346.575. Our total bird count is 13 for a score of 833.3375. Let's kill some birds and regain the lead. Is everyone hunting now?

Rough morning for Jr and I. Things just wouldn't work out. We will go back at it again in the morning.

Donnie I'm serious about the NE hunt. I've meet some super people through this website. My grand slam was completed with the help of people from hunting.net

After the last 2 weekends working on odd jobs, helping other people with their construction projects, I am finally able to get out tomorrow and try to locate some birds. I hope I'm not going to be the guy on the team that holds us back so I'm going to go in there with success on my mind!

Just returned from my first 4 day hunt in Wisconsin Zone 3. New Property found on their interactive map application. Hunted hard but no dice. Did battle with the most educated tom I ever seen. Was working a 5 acre field between his roosting spot and the hens. 4 times I moved my setup and he crossed the field on the opposite side, right past my prior setups every time. One touch to my slate call and he ran like hell! From 200+ yards away! On top of this, he hardly ever gobbled in the morning, but always got fired up 5-6 PM. Go figure.

Headed to my #1 spot this weekend for a 3 day hunt. My best bet. Saw 13 jakes in one group there last year. All will be mature for this season. But still got 2 hunts afterwards, up to May 27th.
