I am hoping they would make a post so that if any of us can offer them some different ideas. That maybe the tipping point. The rest of us still hunting that has birds can try to up our score. Hopefully one of us can get lucky and nail a double bearded bird. That would be a dream most of us would have and that should seal the deal. We are extremely close to being this years winners right now. I hope we can keep the team together for next year's contest..

I know we all want to say we won the Butterball Award for 2014!

I also hope, I am doing enough as captain to try and push the team to victory.. I want it just as much as the rest of us do and I know we can make claim to the title! For some their season has either ended or getting close to it. If they are the ones that have not scored on the other teams we will be the winners most likely. But as of right now it is team that can win. We all have watched our team go from second to third and then right up to first place.. So if we can keep us there we will win this thing. But, either way it has been great working with the team and thanks for letting me be the captain..

Did you score my last bird? Just wondering never did see it posted. Don't know if it would have given us a few more points. We are one bird away from second place it seems like.

Yes I did score your last bird.. Team 6 is way ahead of us on the scoring of the total number of birds..

Your score is 18.5 + 4.375 + 3.125 + 21 = 47

But the winning team is based on the scoring of the best bird per hunter as some members are only allowed to shoot 1 or 2 birds.. Some areas last year it was just one bird. We are in first place where this counts making us the winning team so far.

Here is how we stand in that area as well.. The scoring of all birds added up is..

For us 765.12 and team 6 is at 833.3375 we are well with in range if we can get a couple more birds added to our score.. They still have hunters out there that has scored a lot of birds that maybe heading to other states for a chance at more birds. So in this area it still is where any team can win as well. I hope we can better the scoring for those of us still hunting. That along with another member scoring a bird..

Well, this weekend was kind of a bust for me. Absolutely nothing gobbling sunday in an area with plenty of birds. I'll be back after them tomorrow morning before work. Hopefully I can improve our score some and help us win this thing.

Heard two gobblers Saturday, both off my property. Couldn't get them to move my way. Have two weeks left in the season and can hunt all day now. Thunderstorms yesterday and today but hope to get some evening hunts in on the way home in National Forests. Maybe even a quick lunch hunt as the forest is only 10 min from work and if I can get on a hot bird.......
