Looking forward to getting out again this weekend too. Temps will be dropping off and they should be moving. Beans have all gone yellow/brown so all our oak flats should see traffic.
Hope you heal up fast AF!

Lots of good deer movement and very, very few acorns at the lease this year. All signs are pointing up. I am pretty sure that I will be able to come through at some point. Just waiting for the right one to walk through. It will probably be 2 or 3 weeks before I head back out.

Man I blew it this morning. Had seen a couple does and fawns early, then sat down in my stand for a few minutes. I looked left and there he was already within 15 yds and in my window. Didn't see him coming with the angle I have sitting. If I had been standing he would have been down. Probably at least 130.

At least you got to see him! Maybe next time! I didn't see any shooters. These stayed at least 60 yds out.

Tagged a doe this morning, won't let me upload pic from phone though. Thunderhead did a number on her, looked like a crime scene where the arrow was stuck in the ground.

Got to love those thunderheads! I have been using them for about 15 years. They have never let me down, as long as I do my part!

Here it is, As mentioned before NAP Thunderhead shot from Diamond Marquis at 22yds. She ran more than I would have thought but about 20 yards of it was skidding downhill until a tree stopped her.

Congrats! Hopefully this weekend won't be windy and I can climb into one of the three tree stands.
