High of 74 and sunny for our Wednesday opener. I will probably hunt the morning and then go into work. It's nice having my hunting lease between work and home!

I hunted two mornings and 1 evening this weekend. Only saw a small 4 pointer but I had him at 5 yards. Just a little to warm. Hopefully I can sneak out a day or two after work this week.

Went out Sunday morning. The wind wasn't the best for any of my stands but I hated not being out there. Didn't see any deer until bumping them from being bedded under my other stands while checking cams. That was disappointing also because all my pics were does.

i still got my shooter buck coming into the stand not really in daylight but close enough to it i might slip up and skirt the edges enough for a poke, we will see. opening day is saturday!!!

Opening day is tomorrow here in Illinois. In less than 24 hours from now Ill be in a tree.

The season starts here tomorrow too but I won't be able to get out till Friday morning. I'll be taking the fiancée out first so hopefully I can get her on one pretty quick. The 3rd weekend will be my sons and I promised my daughter I would take her out for her first trip at least one weekend this year. She doesn't want to shoot yet but it will still be sweet to get her out there. Anyways I'm wishin everyone that's able to get out a safe hunt.
