I wish some of you lived closer to me. Could of put you on a 160 in 10pt. Saw him sat night and last night. I saw 6 bucks last night. I still have 3 doe tags. So I was out trying to get my neighbor some meat. They were chasing. Watched a doe and her fawns pass by at 70 yds. Then a a buck followed every 5 minutes til it was too dark.

I had a 140ish buck pass by out of range - ignored my grunts, a buck on a mission... I hope to spend most of the next few days in the saddle.

Hey guys, hows it going? It seems like the rut really calmed down here in Ohio at least where I am at. Looks like they might be in the lockdown phase. Hopefully the last 3 days of my vacation I will nail a big one. Usually what I do after my vacation is my hunting is hit and miss. With the holidays and being really involved in church it gets tough to get out there. So, I still have my target bucks but I also have my management bucks. This year there are 2 management bucks U have targeted. A 3 1/2 year old 8 point. I named him Mini8. He was a nice 1 1/2 year old 8 point but has not grown any height or width since then. He has only put on mass. Then there is a 5 1/2 year old 6 point. This buck would probably go 250 on the hoof and maybe hit 100" if you're lucky. He does have decent mass but that's about it. Good luck out there!!!!!

The rut is still going strong around here. Lots of action, but only had a dink in range. Headed out shortly...

Saw a monster chasing on my way into stand this afternoon. Have about 1 hour left. Hoping to get some action.

Last night saw nothing after I got into the stand. This morning I didn't see any either but my buddy shot a doe at 7:45 and I helped him out with that so that was the morning hunt. I cut the hawks off her and I will use them today and tomorrow. Then it's back to work Saturday night. Hopefully I will put one down either tonight or tomorrow cause after that hunting will be real sporadic. Good luck to everyone else!!!!!

Friday evening I saw a 120"-130" ten point. Large deer 4 1/2 year old but was just out of range. This morning I had the alarm set but with going back in to work tonight I decided I needed the extra sleep so I didn't go out. Sorry about that. Good luck to everyone else out there!!!!!
