Thanks Steve. Went out doe shopping this morning but did not even see a deer. Heard one or more spook while I was climbing my tree in the dark.

Default 10 pt down

Killed a 10 pt tonight at 440 pm. Will get pics up tomorrow. Won't get to score him for a few weeks because the butcher has the antlers and I'm headed on my honeymoon till next Saturday. Good timing. I guess I should let the moderators know so we can summit it. I'll post the story tomorrow as well. Good luck guys. I'm thinking 110-118

Pretty cut and dry on this buck. I have been hunting pretty hard and haven't seen much other than a few dinks that I have passed on. I killed him on public land, the same piece that slow draw killed his nice buck on last week. We work together. I got into the tree about 345 yesterday with a perfect wind for the tree I wanted to hunt that overlooked a cut corn field with a 20 yard wide strip of pines around it that dropped 20 feet straight down the waters edge. I killed a deer a few years ago that died on this edge and it is a thick nasty mix of frags, thorns, pines and tall grass. I let things calm down for about a half hour and made a few soft grunts and one bleat from the can and then sat back. 10 minutes later I catch movement in the thick stuff to my left and could see him tearing up a sapling. When he was done he made his way past me at 11 yards. I stopped him and double lunged him. He ran off about 60 yards and crashed. I'm headed out of the country this weekend and won't be able to score him for 10 days. I'll post him in the contest thread and put score tbd.

Guys, welcome our new team member 3stone. There seems to be some confusion with regards to Rick Teal. So long story short, I've got 3stone who checked in late after he was replaced but definitely wants to hunt and be a part of this contest.

Hey guys. 3stone checking in. I'm heading out on the 15th for a week of bow hunting up in SW Wisconsin. I took a 151 in. buck last year with my bow (and a 161 the year before with my rifle) on the same property and missed a shot on a monster that I hear made it through the season. I'll also hunt OK and TX but I usually get a shot on a big buck up in WI. We have a 150 or better rule so I'll either come back happy or sad.

Good job guys. I haven't seen anything on my last 2 sits, passed an iffy shot on a doe before that. Slow season for me so far. just that one button...
