Now reading through the page, looks like you replaced my spot. Guess I'll ask field mouse if there's a spot somewhere for me and my big bucks.

Such a great moment to take a deer with a kid let alone your son.

So how is everybody doing? My season starts next Tuesday, I should at least be able to get out in the afternoon and then I have a 3 day weekend to hunt the entire time. I should at least come back with a doe.

Way to go, huntalot! I have been a couple times this week on a WMA that opens a week prior to statewide. Have seen some deer from the truck while driving in/leaving, but nothing from the stand. Statewide opens Saturday, and I'll be hunting morning and evening on Saturday, and either morning, or evening most days for the rest of the year, as long as the weather ain't too terrible. Go get 'em, boys!

Exciting morning today. Had a nice buck for several minutes at less than 20 yards - while it was still too dark to see my pins. Once it got lighter, 2 separate little guys came in to essentially the same spot but I just sat and watched them. Several does also came by and a coyote wandered past at a hundred or so yards. Nothing was spooked in the least so I think I'll hit the same spot tomorrow.

RackLuster, you and I were typing at the same time. Nice going on the doe!

Awesome Job team!

I checked my opening day spot on Saturday and it looks like it could have some promise to it. I am going to be sitting on a tree line that extends north out of some timber, I will have staning corn on the east side of me and standing beans on the west side of me. Looks like lots of good sign and I think the deer are using this tree line to access some other fields as well.
