been out a few times, but really been waiting for the weather to change. Gonna start hunting pretty hard the next few weeks now. Been seeing some giant bucks in the fresh cut corn at night though, so Im psyched.

I finally got to get some bowhunting done this weekend. Sat in three different stands and never seen a deer. Its just been too wet. I need the crops out and I needed them out a week ago!!! The farmers cant catch a break with the weather either I guess. Its going to be over a week before I can get out again. I am on call now until Friday morning. The wife has to work next weekend so I will be watching the kids all weekend. Plus I am in the middle of a complete bathroom remodel. Hopefully I can get out by the 31st.

I finally have a trail cam pic of a buck that I would shoot here in PA.
My 16 year old son connected with a 7 point on Monday evening. This is his biggest buck so far. He was really happy and I'm a proud Dad.

Kind of a slow night for activity. But the field next to me was getting picked. I couldn't see the combines but they sure sounded close. Did have 4 does come out right at sunset and were slowly working towards me until there was some banging on machinery going on. They looked back in that direction and slowly worked their way out of the open and back into the trees.

I've been moving around with my climber. I have 5 does that are taunting me...see them every night and they seem to congregate under the tree I used the night before! I'm not seeing a lot of bucks yet, just a 4, 6 and basket 8. I'm starting to see some sparring of the younger bucks though so I think in about another week the big boys will be able to be called off their beds with some rattling and grunting.
Can't wait to watch those horns do the woozy wobble right before the crash! Come on Team 7!!! get some!
