Did a bit of scouting last Friday. I went to some new territory in the Bankhead Forest. Heard a hen and started messing with her a bit, thought I might video her. I'm sitting on the edge of a greenfield fiddling with my phone when I hear that ole' familiar "spit". I look up and about 15-20 steps away in the greenfield are two toms in half strut. They didn't spook but knew something wasn't right and walked away.

Overall good morning. Found some new hunting spots and saw some birds. Now I just have to beat everyone else in.
